“The human spirt lives, it rises to the occasion and carries us through the day. My photographs are born from those decisive moments”
I am a professional photographer, Artist and Community Arts Activist. I have been capturing images all my life and professionally for over 20 years. I have worked as a historical photographer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for 14 years. During that time I has responded to over 26 disasters, including 9-11 World Trade Centers, Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and many other wildfires, floods, tornados and hurricanes.
I have also worked internationally, using the lens to capture moments of community building and artistic expression throughout the world, including Thailand, Egypt, and Europe.
My images are the product of learning to see. They are moments that stand still in time.
My work has been shown in many galleries, festivals and museums through out the United States. My photos have been published all over the world and are part of the Smithsonian’s Photographic History Collection Archives.
